I cannot beat this game. Not because I suck at it, but because the Wrestlemania level (I can't recall the actual game's name) versus the Amazon SHUTS DOWN MY BROWSER and FREEZES MY PC. I have no idea what keeps causing it but it seems to happen whenever I attempt to run from the upper left corner of the ring. I would love to give this a higher score because this game is undeniably fun and hilarious... but being unable to beat a game, not due to lack of skill, but because a glitch that renders my computer frozen is fucking frustrating as hell.
I will revisit this game in a couple of weeks when HOPEFULLY these game breaking glitches have been patched.
Now of course I'm not going to rag on anything art related despite some awkward posing, but the most obviously flubs appear within the dialogue. I'm not certain you're reading the lines you're writing aloud or else you'd be able to tell how unnatural they feel. "Perhaps some closet skeletons have been stirred"? Say it out loud. Notice how wholly odd that sounds? Certainly they aren't grammatically wrong but the flow of the sentence is put off simply by the order in which you speak the words and it's meaning, while otherwise obvious, becomes a bit harder to decipher.
I'm hoping this isn't as much of an issue as the episodes progress and you gain more experience, but consider re-writing each new episode as you work on them and have several people proof-read it so that you have multiple perspectives to make revisions with.
It's such a great, simple concept with a few very small minor issues that keep it from having perfect, tight, responsive controls. I feel as though I have very loose control over my character most of the time because of certain little things.
1. Minimum jump height: Sometimes all I want to do is a small bunny hop to reach an enemy that is just beyond my reach however when I tap the jump button I am not telling to game to smash me headlong into the enemy directly above me. Later on, the high velocity continuous upward momentum also leads to increasingly impossible to dodge death traps that could be avoided if releasing the jump button HALTED upward momentum.
2. Wall climbing mechanics that grind everything to a halt: This could be fixed a number of ways, but the one currently in place just breaks the flow of momentum. Personally, I think Super Meat Boy's upward sliding mechanic would be perfect but that's just me. It's a little infuriating to try and jump straight up only to latch immediately back onto the wall I just let go of.
3. This is just a glitch but I've been playing long enough to somehow crash the music loop. I'm sure this will be patched eventually.
Obviously this is the archetype of a classic horror scenario but I'll give you a ton of credit for nailing down the oppressive atmosphere of being totally alone. The intentional hilarity at the end sort of offsets the mood and feels like it belongs to an entirely different short but still really damn good. I don't even need to mention the art since my score speaks for itself as I've already voiced my reasons for why this short isn't *perfect*.
Is there a difficulty curve to speak of to these levels? I mean it seems a little unfair that some levels seem to randomly rip your arms and legs off at the word go. It's fun to see your characters get brutally maimed but it ruins the fun a little when those injuries are the fault of a schizophrenic phsyics engine than any actual fault of the player. "Oops I missed a jump *splatter death* Haha." is more fun than say.... "Oh a level where you navigate the inside of a monster? That sounds interesti- *fork smashes your arms off and Satan immediately chews you to a fine pulp*" While amusing to watch, it's less fun to play. It's also insanely easy to stop most injury ridden falls as the segway guy when you can just hit the jump button the moment before you fall. Wheelchair guy would be fun if direction of his boost effected his entire model rather than that one single pixel to which it is attached to his vehicle and some levels seem to only allow one character to complete them even though it will occasionally allow you to select a particular character like that bus level that won't even let anyone but the segway driver to leave the starting location.
Anyway's that's more than enough complaints. It's another interesting BMX bike physics game with looser controls and an emphasis on how badly you can screw up your driver.
You DARED to poke fun at Sonic's new cast of characters. NOBODY HATES ON BIGS THE CAT. NOBODY!
Joking aside though, I thought this vid was a hoot and I think most Sonic fans greatly appreciate any criticism for Sonic's new animal friends that apparently keep breeding with each other (thus explaining the large number of severe deformities). I certainly do. Here's hoping Sonic 4 kicks as much ass as this video! =D
There are rumors flying around that L4D1 will have multiplayer compatability with L4D2. I mean, they release so much DLC FOR FREE *if you have the PC versions* as is but to continue supporting a previous installment is awesome. The one thing I'm looking forward too is more maps and the new unannounced, as of yet, special zombies.
Yeah, I'm a PC gamer.. But the DLC content your talking about is imaginary. The only things they've release are bug fixes (most bugs of which should never have been there in the first place), releasing Dead air and Death toll as versus maps (Which, despite the fact that they should have been released in the first place, are LITTERED with akwards invisible walls), and survival mode with its map (You can make it with some server commands and a stopwatch..)
I guess Valve thought the dark-dreary look of L4D was getting a bit old, but I think the maps look pretty bad in their current lighting... I think they should've stuck with the dark look, but went into even MORE various areas, maybe with the elements (blizzards, deserts, hurricanes, floods)
Why do you slide around like you're on an ice hockey rink so that you can never actually continue a chain you start? Why are even the easiest enemies barely phased when smashed in the face by a giant sword? They barely flinch! Why do you bother with single sword fighting at all when doing so only puts you in danger of getting slaughtered by baddies? *particularly the EXPLODING ONES. Sorry, but I thought suicidal baddies come LATER in most games....* Overall, you have a "stylish" combo system, but not much else. If I could have actually understood how to keep my guy in one place while juggling enemies, I probably wouldn't have been as frustrated. Plus, having such a small space to fight can get cluttered at times.
No matter the number of enemies you face, it's always in that cramped little space with only one direction to go: up. More mobility to the left and right would have been welcome as well. Also, you need to fix the button layout. Remember that the player is using a keyboard so we don't have shoulder buttons to switch weapons the way you would for a console game. Not that it mattered. The twin blades were infinitely more useful than that gigantic compensatory starting sword.
Even on the easiest setting, this game is difficult, but for all the wrong reasons. The tutorial level took way too much time for such bizarrely simple tips and tricks that I figured out long before the game told me how to use them. When I play a game, I don't wanna spend 10 minutes being told how each and every detail works when you never even use half of them.
To sum it all up, it's competent but bland and lacking in variety overall.
Tell me about it... yeah, sad to say it DID happen. The only difference being I was more quiet with my mocking of the film, no yelling or anything. I know, I should've, but I'm more considerate in person. Thanks for watching!

Pretty decent.
Still kinda buggy. The hit detection is kinda wonky but still reliable most of the time.
My real complaint is that the very final medal is still locked even though I got all of the other achievements! ARGH!

WOW....
Did this actually happen? Cause that's torture to terrible for any normal human being.
