Clunky Dialogue

Now of course I'm not going to rag on anything art related despite some awkward posing, but the most obviously flubs appear within the dialogue. I'm not certain you're reading the lines you're writing aloud or else you'd be able to tell how unnatural they feel. "Perhaps some closet skeletons have been stirred"? Say it out loud. Notice how wholly odd that sounds? Certainly they aren't grammatically wrong but the flow of the sentence is put off simply by the order in which you speak the words and it's meaning, while otherwise obvious, becomes a bit harder to decipher.

I'm hoping this isn't as much of an issue as the episodes progress and you gain more experience, but consider re-writing each new episode as you work on them and have several people proof-read it so that you have multiple perspectives to make revisions with.

Cliche, but still damn good.

Obviously this is the archetype of a classic horror scenario but I'll give you a ton of credit for nailing down the oppressive atmosphere of being totally alone. The intentional hilarity at the end sort of offsets the mood and feels like it belongs to an entirely different short but still really damn good. I don't even need to mention the art since my score speaks for itself as I've already voiced my reasons for why this short isn't *perfect*.

Why you lost....

You DARED to poke fun at Sonic's new cast of characters. NOBODY HATES ON BIGS THE CAT. NOBODY!

Joking aside though, I thought this vid was a hoot and I think most Sonic fans greatly appreciate any criticism for Sonic's new animal friends that apparently keep breeding with each other (thus explaining the large number of severe deformities). I certainly do. Here's hoping Sonic 4 kicks as much ass as this video! =D

Game Breaking Glitches

I cannot beat this game. Not because I suck at it, but because the Wrestlemania level (I can't recall the actual game's name) versus the Amazon SHUTS DOWN MY BROWSER and FREEZES MY PC. I have no idea what keeps causing it but it seems to happen whenever I attempt to run from the upper left corner of the ring. I would love to give this a higher score because this game is undeniably fun and hilarious... but being unable to beat a game, not due to lack of skill, but because a glitch that renders my computer frozen is fucking frustrating as hell.

I will revisit this game in a couple of weeks when HOPEFULLY these game breaking glitches have been patched.

Imprecise Controls

It's such a great, simple concept with a few very small minor issues that keep it from having perfect, tight, responsive controls. I feel as though I have very loose control over my character most of the time because of certain little things.
1. Minimum jump height: Sometimes all I want to do is a small bunny hop to reach an enemy that is just beyond my reach however when I tap the jump button I am not telling to game to smash me headlong into the enemy directly above me. Later on, the high velocity continuous upward momentum also leads to increasingly impossible to dodge death traps that could be avoided if releasing the jump button HALTED upward momentum.
2. Wall climbing mechanics that grind everything to a halt: This could be fixed a number of ways, but the one currently in place just breaks the flow of momentum. Personally, I think Super Meat Boy's upward sliding mechanic would be perfect but that's just me. It's a little infuriating to try and jump straight up only to latch immediately back onto the wall I just let go of.

3. This is just a glitch but I've been playing long enough to somehow crash the music loop. I'm sure this will be patched eventually.

Fun high concept but terrible execution

Is there a difficulty curve to speak of to these levels? I mean it seems a little unfair that some levels seem to randomly rip your arms and legs off at the word go. It's fun to see your characters get brutally maimed but it ruins the fun a little when those injuries are the fault of a schizophrenic phsyics engine than any actual fault of the player. "Oops I missed a jump *splatter death* Haha." is more fun than say.... "Oh a level where you navigate the inside of a monster? That sounds interesti- *fork smashes your arms off and Satan immediately chews you to a fine pulp*" While amusing to watch, it's less fun to play. It's also insanely easy to stop most injury ridden falls as the segway guy when you can just hit the jump button the moment before you fall. Wheelchair guy would be fun if direction of his boost effected his entire model rather than that one single pixel to which it is attached to his vehicle and some levels seem to only allow one character to complete them even though it will occasionally allow you to select a particular character like that bus level that won't even let anyone but the segway driver to leave the starting location.

Anyway's that's more than enough complaints. It's another interesting BMX bike physics game with looser controls and an emphasis on how badly you can screw up your driver.
